_LPWC Operation Breakthrough_

1-Obtain a voter registration list – The most recent list will be used
since the next one we can obtain will most likely come in October, may
be too late to prepare by that point.

2-Write letter to all registered Libertarians – The scope of the letter
will include how easy it is to run for these positions, how little time
it will take up, how little money they need to invest, how it builds
their resume, how you can make a change and promote the LP, etc. Letter
should be signed by the county chair.

3-Include return envelopes – A card will need to printed off that has
check boxes for I want more information on how to run, I want to help
someone's campaign, I can't but I'd like to make a donation, I'd like to
pledge for X number of candidates and or victories. Also need to ask if
they are a current public office holder so to update our records.

4- Can the website have a page setup where people can fill out a form
instead of the return mailing and/or donate money?

5- Sort the information as it comes back – Washington County Elections
has a terminal that can be used to look up districts of any address in
the county. They ask that you call in advance to request use of the
computer. Each person who responds will be looked up and see what races
are open for 2011.

6- Contact each person by phone – Let each person know what races they
can run for and get them to commit to a position.

7- Assist in filing – Work with each candidate on filling, voter
pamphlets, campaign strategies, etc.

The Republican Party of Washington County has asked to let them know
what candidates we will be running next May to make sure that they don't
run against us. If we start this in the fall, before the end of the year
we'll know who is running and may get cross endorsements.

8- Costs will be for printing the letter, return cards and envelopes and
for postage for approximately 1800 to 1900 people.
